According to Ryanto Wisnuardhy as Director of PT Perkebunan Nusantara Region XIV, he stated that at the end of 2020, sales of Gollata sugar had reached 1,500 tons. Until the end of 2020, it is known that approximately 40 have been distributed who meet this target.
Gollata sugar is a typical Indonesian granulated sugar. The word Gollata comes from the Bugis language which means Our Sugar. The use of a distinctive name from the area of origin is one of the uniqueness that is owned as an effort to increase and introduce production from within the country.
“Gollata is a retail sugar product produced from sugar factories in Bone, Camming and Takalar. In that place, Gollata is produced starting from seeding, sugarcane treatment, cutting and transporting to the packaging process for the initial production of 1,500 tons,” said Ryanto in an interview.
Gollata granulated sugar products are currently available in one of the domestically owned brands, namely NUSAKITA. The existence of the sugar brand Gollata from NUSAKITA makes it one of the flagship products of PT Perkebunan Nusantara in retail. Gollata granulated sugar produced by NUSAKITA comes from selected sugar cane which is produced directly by PT Perkebunan Nusantara Region XIV.
Gollata sugar products with the NUSAKITA brand are produced with a long process and carried out by professionals so as to produce granulated sugar with excellent quality pure cane to be marketed to the public. The production process for the NUSAKITA brand Gollata sugar goes through the grinding stages which are directly supervised by the best professionals in order to produce premium quality sugar.
The NUSAKITA brand sugar, the Gollata has a guaranteed Indonesian National Standard certification based on the implementation of company policies, the management team, training facilities and raw materials. In addition, the production of NUSAKITA brand sugar comes from selected sugar cane which is planted using special cultivation techniques and post-harvest handling to maintain the premium quality.
PT Perkebunan Nusantara has the confidence to be able to distribute original products from Indonesia to be marketed for local and foreign communities. The NUSAKITA brand is believed to be able to increase other local brands and market premium goods with Indonesian labels to various directions.
